Challanges.

And you thought I had quit!

Well perhaps i had. Perhaps i decided that i didn't care about writing anymore because who really pays any attention at all to what i read anyway?

Well... if nothing else its fun to look back and read what i wrote when i was young. Oh to be 22 and a day again...

Yo. I don't quite no what to say other than that I am about to start my first summer school class of my life. Yes I, even I have fallen to a new low of taking a class during summer when I should be having fun or something.

Naw who cares. Truth be told i've been very busy in the past few months. A revival of my faith in God has led me to become more productive for the Kingdom... something i now fail miserably at... as opposed to before when I did nothing at all... ish. Either way progress is the name of the game here folks. Forgive me Father for I fall short of your glory.

So with that in mind i like to do things and keep my self moving forward. I'm very forward thinking these days. What shall i do next. Who shall i talk to next... then i run and hide. Today i met a homeless man. Then after walking several blocks i realized i should have talked to him and tried to figure out what he was all about rather than just running to my safe zone.

Lesson learned... probably will have to re-learn it again. But I pray i have more boldness next time. At any rate i must take my leave and pray my class isnt more than 20 min long. ... ... .. hahaha jk. sort of.

Rock and Roll Ministry of Pankakes!

Amazing how time seems to fly. Amazing the difference a year makes. Amazing the places we end up and the people we meet. Recently I have met a girl with the most beautiful singing voice and im fully ready to marry her. lol. K maybe not but close. Where shall i be next year? Here? i dunno. I wanna be in my own place. I hope to make that happen. I wanna be in my last semester of college. I hope to make that happen. I wanna be in a deep, meaningful relationship with God, and in one with an amazing woman. I hope to make that happen. I wanna be able to breathe again. I hope to make that happen. Right now I only consolation is Blaqk Audio.

And the fact that I am typing this on my 42" tv with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Let me tell you. This is the way to do it. At this distance the resolution is very clear even if it is only 720p. Before i had to sit too close and it looked muddy. Also... i have media controlls on this keyboard. They are nice.

If you couldnt tell from my first paragraph I'm kinda depressed. While this is nothing new, the difference comes in that im not gonna write about it here. If you wanna know, ask. But the shell surrounding the mess is that it is my birthday right... now. I typed now as the clock struck midnight. Now im 22. And that is annoying in that... i was 21 last time. And that was suitably awesome. 22 is far less so. More is expected of you for less reward. Makes you wanna stand up and start a revolution. Against 40 hour work weeks and below average pay. I could go on a huge rant about pay. But i wont.

This annoys me.

All i wanna do is listen to music 24/7

Sorry. This band is just really good and makes me feel like i COULD listen to them forever.

At any rate. This was kinda pointless. But mostly to let you know. Im still here. And i still do stuff. ^_^

Running on foot to perkins at 4 am is awesome!

haha its not much.

Sometimes the one side of my brain just takes over. Then I'm fried. Toast. Kaput. Seriously... sometimes I think I'm Bi-Polar, or have Multiple Personality Disorder.

Enough of my insanity. I have a sidekick! Wooo! It's... more complicated than my other phone and will take some getting used to in order for me to tell if its really good or not.

I won't even start reviewing yet. There is too much to do. I'm puting music on it right now. And pictures. We will see what happens.

In other news Kristi graciously let me crash at her place in order that i may get a few hours rest during my marrithon of work and school. So Kudos and much thanks to her. I got an A on my first test! But... a C on my first responce paper. Bah. So that is school. Work... I guess I'm getting promoted soon. Training has stepped up alot, I'm going in early all next week for more training so I guess thats going well.

At any rate thats life at a glance... sorry this is so lacking in substance. I will post more later. But it is late and i need sleep. ^_^ gnight!

In Continuation

I just listend to two songs from the new Metallica album. And i went in with an open mind. I heard that it was gonna be more like And Justice for All... but it wasnt. It was just bad. The solos were uninspired. The riffs were simple. The vocals were strained. The drums were dumbed down. There were no redeeming qualities. I know, shame on me Nate for thinking Metallica could release a decent album since they haven't done that since '91.  o.0

On the other hand i hear that Hayley and the gang are writing new songs for us. That is always a plus. The Pillows are still rocking it. They will probably do another U.S. tour and i will miss it again cuz they never come close enough! They release new songs every week. (exageration). But compared to most artists in America... yeah.

In responce the the post before where i wrote about nothing... never mind it. I was at school and that depressess me. Cuz im there all day and most of the time I have no one to talk to. Although I saw Eric from my German class way back when. That was interesting. We talked. Then i saw Scott walking from his apartment. So we caught up. Talked about the aftermath of the crazy end of the year party and plotted on how we might have another. haha.

Last night was interesting. I had called Amy about hanging out after my class and her work.  But she works at Buffalo Wild Wings and is subject not to the clock but the cut. So i have no idea when she got off. I did visit her, which was cool. I talked to Michelle or however you spell it. Shes got alot of energy and talked about how Amy helped her alot cuz they are both new. I'm like, yep thats the right Amy. So after determining that Amy would not get off work for a while she suggested i call Jen which i did... and nothing became of that. So i called Kara who had a migrane but invited me over anyways. So i hung out at her apartment dorm thing. We watched TV. Mostly family guy, then her cousin was there and other people i think one of them was named Amy. And Kara fell asleep. So i watched TV. Then she woke up and was like "oh my gosh sorry!" I was like its all good. ^_^ so i went home and watched Band of Brothers. Always a good show but lately i have felt alot like watching it.

There shall be more in the future, i cant post everything at once lest i loose everyone's interest. And i know not everyone has time to read my long posts. So Ta Ta for Now!

1234

Woah where did i go?! Haha. No where in particular. Just in the basement of Ford Hall at the U of M using one of their communications kiosks to type this... cuz ive been out since 8 am and have no laptop... and am bored.

But there is so much to tell. So much to go on about. I dont have time to even start. Basically I've been thinking alot. Probably too much for my own good. When i think about things i tend to depress myself. I dont really wanna go into what ive been thinking about, but its put me in a weird place. Ok... i will update later somone wants to use this thing. But i will be back!!!

Addendum

I wish to add to my previous post. Vista is still a stupid operating system becasue it does everything XP does only not quite as well. It isnt broken... just not as good as XP. And we are supposed to be moving forward not backwards.

If someone asked me to change to vista for free I would say no because i dont fix things that aren't broken.

So in conclusion. Vista works fine... but XP is better.

Oh People

Ok its time to wake people up.

Windows Vista does not suck. Anyone who says it does has either not used it yet or has upgraded from XP on their existing computer.

Let me tell you... Upgrading your operating system on an existing computer is the stupidest idea ever. Yes you can upgrade Linux. People do that all the time. But a new Ubuntu distro is released every 5 seconds. And Leopard isn't so much an upgrade as it is a glorified patch. It's been many years since XP was released. Yes Vista is bound to require more system resources than XP. ALOT more. Because its more advanced and there is prettiness. Also... you can turn the prettiness off. Just a thought. Also Vista cannot recognize 4 gigs of ram... i don't know why. I haven't looked into it cuz i don't care. So... if you buy a computer today... assuming its not a pile of rat poop from wal-mart. It should run vista fine. So stop whining!

The Ideal

If I ruled the world...

I would kill record companies completely. I would make it illegal or at the very least impractical to sell music recordings. Instead I would use the internet as a source of distributing recordings legitimately and for free. The idea being that the revenue the band gets comes only from merchandise sold at concerts... and the concerts themselves of course... which ironically is mostly how it is anyways. ^_^

Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails have the right idea here. I don’t even like NIN... but i have their new album... just because of the principal.

Money isn’t everything. And even if it were... record companies don't do a thing to deserve any of it. The bands deserve it. And that is what concerts are for.

This would even the playing field, destroy the monotony MTV has generated, and create a new generation of bands... who can actually PLAY their instruments... and play them well... Live.

Zoom Zoom

I don’t understand my music tastes. They make no sense to me. I usually say something like “I like hard rock,” or lately “punk rock” or more precisely “melodic punk.” “pop punk” sounds dumb so I say melodic punk. But really I like everything. I’m listening to Imogen Heap right now. And I love it. I’ve always loved it from the first moment I heard it. The song right now, “Clear the Area” is such a driving song. I just wanna go for a long drive in a corvette or something. I like things that sound unique to themselves I think I think. No real genre holds me down. However I will say… if it has distorted electric guitars they get bonus points! ^_^

So my car has rolled over the hill finally.

100k miles. Geeze. I think about 17 or 18k of those are mine. When did I do that? Holy crap! Now the exhaust is falling off and so did a side bumper. This all happened on the same trip. Its like… hit 100k miles and instantly the car falls apart.  well actually its fine. And it all fell off before 100k. And it drives fine… and I just got an oil change! Yeay!

So in conclusion… maintain your cars!
