The Ideal

If I ruled the world...

I would kill record companies completely. I would make it illegal or at the very least impractical to sell music recordings. Instead I would use the internet as a source of distributing recordings legitimately and for free. The idea being that the revenue the band gets comes only from merchandise sold at concerts... and the concerts themselves of course... which ironically is mostly how it is anyways. ^_^

Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails have the right idea here. I don’t even like NIN... but i have their new album... just because of the principal.

Money isn’t everything. And even if it were... record companies don't do a thing to deserve any of it. The bands deserve it. And that is what concerts are for.

This would even the playing field, destroy the monotony MTV has generated, and create a new generation of bands... who can actually PLAY their instruments... and play them well... Live.

Zoom Zoom

I don’t understand my music tastes. They make no sense to me. I usually say something like “I like hard rock,” or lately “punk rock” or more precisely “melodic punk.” “pop punk” sounds dumb so I say melodic punk. But really I like everything. I’m listening to Imogen Heap right now. And I love it. I’ve always loved it from the first moment I heard it. The song right now, “Clear the Area” is such a driving song. I just wanna go for a long drive in a corvette or something. I like things that sound unique to themselves I think I think. No real genre holds me down. However I will say… if it has distorted electric guitars they get bonus points! ^_^

So my car has rolled over the hill finally.

100k miles. Geeze. I think about 17 or 18k of those are mine. When did I do that? Holy crap! Now the exhaust is falling off and so did a side bumper. This all happened on the same trip. Its like… hit 100k miles and instantly the car falls apart.  well actually its fine. And it all fell off before 100k. And it drives fine… and I just got an oil change! Yeay!

So in conclusion… maintain your cars!
